Activated carbon powder is manufactured from pine wood and from other raw material or natural sources also. Pine wood based charcoals are soft, have a high degree of porosity, large surface area, and high purity, and therefore give better result compare with other carbon.


Washed activated carbon powder contains less iron, ash, acid & water soluble matter. It passes through i.p., b.p., & u.s.p. Parameters. So, it is quite suitable for bulk drug industries etc.
Unwashed activated carbon powder contains high iron, ash, acid & water soluble matter compared to washed activated carbon powder. So, it is quite suitable for dyes & intermediates industries, fine chemicals etc.
